Cockroaches are very annoying when they start squeaking in the dead of night, and their presence or knowing that they are in the house is very worrying, so you must learn how to catch them and thus get rid of them, whether by throwing them outside the house or using them as fishing bait if one of the members of the house is from They are fishing enthusiasts.
How can we catch cockroaches of the night?
There is more than one way to catch cockroaches, including:
First, fishing with newspaper.
1- Bring a cup of coarse sugar and another cup of breadcrumbs and mix them together, this mixture or string is food for cockroaches, take into account here the use of regular bread crumbs that do not contain flavoring or spices as these ingredients can keep them away from the place of the trap .
2- Go to the area where you are likely to have cockroaches, and spray the mixture at dusk, which is the time before cockroaches start to roam.
3- Cover the sprinkled mixture with newspaper, provided that you use one sheet of paper and not several layers of paper, as it is enough for the cockroach to hide under it.
4- Prepare a large jar of plastic or glass that has a lid that can be closed tightly and make holes in the lid, so it is preferable that the lid be made of plastic, in case you want to keep cockroaches alive for later use, and in that case you can put a little mixture of crumbs and sugar Inside the jar.
5- Early in the morning and before the dew dries up, go to the place of the trap, as it is the most appropriate time to hunt cockroaches, where their stomachs are full and calm under the newspaper. Take care not to be late for the time specified for collecting cockroaches. If you wait until the dew dries, the cockroaches will escape.
This method may not be suitable for use inside the house, as this mixture will work on the gathering of ordinary cockroaches and mice, so it is suitable for use outside the house.
Second: catching night cockroaches by using a carbonated water bottle.
1- Get a 2-liter bottle of soda water and cut its head off using a cutter or a sharp knife.
2- Turn the cut-out bottle head so that it is inside the bottle and using tape, fill any gaps or holes in the top end.
3- At the bottom of the bottle, put a little sugar so that it forms a thin layer on the bottom.
4- In the place where cockroaches are likely to be present, put the bottle on its side so that it is easy for cockroaches to crawl into the bottle in order to reach the sugar through the cut-out bottle opening. it suits you.
This method is suitable for use inside or outside the home.
Catching cockroaches with a water bottle
Third: - Catch the cockroaches of the night using the adhesive tape.
1- In the places where cockroaches congregate, put a piece of adhesive tape so that the adhesive side is facing up.
2- In the morning, go to the place of the adhesive tape and you will find cockroaches sticking to it when they were walking at night, making it easier for you to catch them.
This method is mainly suitable for indoor use. You can also replace the adhesive tape with sticky traps or traps made for catching cockroaches.
Fourth: Hunting cockroaches using a cardboard cylinder.
1- Get a cylinder of cardboard and put a small amount of food in it. You can use the cylinder on which paper towels or anything similar is wrapped, and the longer the cylinder is large, the greater the number of cockroaches that you catch.
2- Bring the cylinder and put it in the place where the cockroaches gather, then in the early morning take the cylinder and what is in it and put it in a jar or bag and get rid of it.
Fifth: Catching cockroaches using a loaf of bread.
1- Take a loaf of bread and divide it in half lengthwise.
2- Using a spoon, make a hole in the heart of the halves of the loaf and put the extracted core in a bowl.
3- Inverting the loaf, mix some of it with coarse sugar in equal quantities.
4- Bring the mixture and put it in the place of the holes in the halves of the loaf.
5- Put the two halves back together and tie the loaf with a rubber band or secure them using a toothpick, tape, or plastic paper.
6- Cut the two ends of the loaf so that the cavity inside the loaf is revealed and cockroaches can enter it after placing the loaf in the place where the cockroaches gather. In the early morning, get rid of the loaf with the cockroaches inside.
Note:
1- One of the places that cockroaches love is the presence of wood piles, building foundations, compost piles, inside walls and places where there is water.
2- To summon or encourage night cockroaches to get out of their nests, spray water on a small or any cement basis in the house, which works to attract them towards the water
