How to configure and Use Google Assistant ‘Good Morning’ Routine
Google Assistant routines are one of the foremost powerful features on Nest smart speakers and displays. Make the beginning of your day a touch less stressful by using the “Good Morning” routine to automate your home.
Google Assistant’s “Good Morning” routine is great for setting things in motion once you awaken within the morning. It includes turning on lights, hearing the weather outlook, starting a music playlist, and more. Let’s get into it.
Open the Google Home app on your iPhone, iPad, or Android device. Next, tap the “Routines” button within the top section.
You’ll now see an inventory of routines, including some that Google has already made. Select “Good Morning.”
There are a couple of different sections on this page that determine what the routine will do. At the highest, tap the text under “When” or “How to start out .”
This is where you’ll choose commands to initiate the “Good Morning” routine. There are a couple of commands already listed, and you’ll tap “Add” to enter more.
Select “OK” or “Done” when you’re finished entering commands.
The next section determines what Google Assistant will do and in what order it’ll happen. There are a variety of pre-filled actions that you simply can select to edit or close up.
To add your own custom action, tap “Add Action.”
You’ll see an inventory of categories for things that Google Assistant can do. Tap and hold the handle (four stacked lines) next to an action to tug it up or right down to adjust the order. Tap “Done” when you’re finished.
Select the “Save” button to save lots of the routine when you’re done.
